Hydraulic internal cutter is a tool for cutting pipe strings, mainly used in the field of oil and gas extraction. It hydraulically drives the blade to cut the stuck pipe string and completes the cutting operation . It is mainly composed of an upper joint, a pressure regulator assembly, a piston assembly, a cylinder liner, a spring, a guide tube assembly, a body, a blade assembly, a righting block and a plug.
Hydraulic internal cutter works as follows:
1. Hydraulic drive : under the action of hydraulic pressure, the piston moves down to push the blade to rotate outwardly around the pin axis, and the blade cuts into the wall of the pipe to be cut.
2. Cutting process : with the increase of hydraulic displacement, the cutting depth of the blade will be increased until the cutting is completed.
3. Recovery : After cutting, lift the drill pipe or oil pipe, drive the blade to recover, and take out the cut pipe column .
