The Agaricus blazei polysaccharides appear to activate a type of white blood cell known as macrophage. The function of macrophages is to filter the blood by destroying viruses, bacteria, and perhaps even cancer cells.
The main medicinal properties of this mushroom are anti-tumor and immunity enhancement. It's effective in treatment of cancer, AIDS, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and many others. It has been identified by scientists to be an immune system enhancement with strong anti-cancer and anti-tumor properties.
