- Jointed type, gouging rods have the added benefit of working without stub loss with each rod having male & female parts, can be used with manual and automatic torches.

- Pointed Gouging Carbon Rods (A.C.) are designed to produce a U-shaped groove with low levels of smoke and slag.
- Blasting copper gouging rods are used to cut welding defects, removes mould pits and produce mould holes.
- Flat gouging rods are designed for close tolerance metal removal and sacrificing application producing a rectangular groove.
- Hollow Core Gouging Rods are designed to produce a U-shaped groove with low levels of smoke and slag.
