Recently, the Phase II project of Shenzhen Eye Hospital, undertaken by China Construction Northern Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., successfully implemented the air-supported membrane technology for foundation pits.
The structure resembles a giant inflatable dome, covering an area of approximately 8,400 square meters with a maximum height of 25 meters. The technology maintains the membrane's stability by creating a consistent air pressure difference between the inside and outside. It also provides additional benefits, including dust suppression, noise reduction, energy efficiency, and fire resistance. Inside the air-supported structure, construction activities are proceeding in a highly efficient and orderly manner, significantly reducing the impact of dust and noise on nearby residents.
