Aluminum sulfate
Aluminum sulfate is an inorganic substance with chemical formula [Al2(SO4)3.XH2O], molecular weight of 342.15, and white crystalline powder).
In the paper industry, it is used as a precipitant for gum materials such as rosin size and wax emulsion, as a flocculant in water treatment, as a retention agent for foam extinguisher, as a raw material for manufacturing alum and aluminum white, as a raw material for petroleum decolorizing and deodorizing agents and medicines, and also for manufacturing artificial gem and high-grade ammonium alum.
