Aluminum Lantern Bulb Tite Rivet 7.7*27 Waterproof Tri-fold Rivets
Lantern Bulb Rivets expand in three directions as the mandrel is pulled through them, creating three anchor points on the blind end of the application. They have better retention than a standard pop rivet due to their increased surface area. These rivets also work better in thinner metals without causing damage to the materials. 7.5x28 Aluminum Waterproof Lantern bulb blind rivets with washer are used for their high strength to weight ratio, and corrosion resistance.
During installation the rivet body folds into three separate legs, forming the blind-side upset head. The Bounty Tri-fold mandrel breaks off flush with the rivet head. Flush mandrel break requires use of special Bounty Lantern Bulb installation tool nose tip.
Lantern Bulb Aluminum Rivets create a finished look similar to a standard pop rivet, and do not require any special tools for installation (other than a standard riveter).
