Amalfi Mosaics Crystal Glass are manufactured with what is called a fusing process. This method sees a flat sheet of floating glass with exceptional durability, cut into pieces. A selected colour is added to the glass either top or base then a treated coating wrapped to protect the colour.
This increases resistance to abrasion and it is sealed within the tile by firing it in. This ensures the colour is fused within the glass allowing for a translucent colour visible through the entire life.
Amalfi Mosaics are fully compliant with all Australian Standards and requirements that ensures that the tensile adhesion strength, once fully immersed in water; is second to none. Amalfi mosaics are independently tested by the CSIRO and is the only tile on the market with the testing and backing by Mapei tiling adhesives.
