Physical and Chemical Properties
Ammonium hydroxide, also called Aqua Ammonia, solution of ammonia gas in water, a common commercial form of ammonia. It is a colourless liquid with a strong characteristic odour. In concentrated form, ammonium hydroxide can cause burns on contact with the skin; ordinary household ammonia, used as a cleanser, is dilute ammonium hydroxide.

Application
1.Ammonia is mainly used as fertilizer in agriculture. As a fast liquid nitrogen fertilizer, ammonia is particularly suitable for topdressing and can effectively increase crop yield. For example, adding 1 kilogram of ammonia can increase the yield of about 0.8 kilograms of silver carp and bighead carp. The usage method is to charge 5 kilograms of ammonia per acre into a jar, tilt it slightly and put it into the pool, allowing the ammonia to slowly diffuse into the pool water. However, when using it, it should be noted that the amount of ammonia water used each time should not exceed 10 kilograms per acre. The effect of alternating the use of newly excavated ponds and superphosphate is better.
2.Also used in photographic development, metal extracting, and water purification;
3.Also used as a fertilizer for direct application to the soil, a household cleanser, and a food additive;
4.Also used as a mordant in textile dyeing;
5.Other uses include leather processing and electroplating;
Storage
Ammonium Hydroxide should be stored in a closed container and kept cool, otherwise, the ammonia gas will come out of solution and the material strength will be reduced.
