Description: White or off-white powder
Pharmacologic action:
Pharmacodynamics: Broad-spectrum semisynthetic penicillin, it exerts bacteriostatic effect by interfering with cell wall synthesis of bacterium. It is active against: Bacillus coli, hemolytic streptococcus, Streptococcus pneumonia, Staph ylococcus aureus, Hemophilus influenza, enterococci, salmonella, Bacillus typhi.
Pharmacokinetics: Administration by oral route, it is absorbed quickly , 75%~90% Amoxicillin are absorbed at the stomach and intestine, it is widespread distribute at Tissue and Body Fluid, can permeate placental barrier , microamount is distribute at milk, sweat and tear. plasma protein binding is 13%, half-life is 11.3 hours, 24~33% Amoxicillin are metabolism at liver, 45~68% are excreted by urine in original form, also part of it are excreted by biliary tract .the Pharmacokinetics parameter of administration by oral route to swine(10mg/kg): peak time 1.9h and 3.6h, peak concentration 1.6 and 0.8 mg/L, bioavailability 33% and 28%, mean residence time 8.7h and 10.4h.
Drug interactions:
1. Bacterium have cross resistance to Amoxicillin and ampicillin.
2. Probenecid Competitive inhibit tubular secretion, if be used with the product ,can increase the plasma concentration and extent the half-life of Amoxicillin.
3. Chlormycetin, macrolides, sulfamido and tetracyclines interfere the antibacterial action of Amoxicillin.
Indications: Antibiotics. Treatment of Gram-positive bacteria infection and Gram-negative bacteria infection sensitive to penicillin.
Usage and dosage:
Administration by oral route, as a single dose, for fowl, 20~30mg/kg body weight ( for Amoxicillin 60% SP, 34~50mg/kg body weight), twice a day, for 5 days successively.
Administration in drinking water: for fowl, 60mg/L of drinking water( for Amoxicillin 60% SP, 100mg/L), for 3-5 days successively.
Withdraw period: Fowl, 7days, it is forbidden to laying hens.
