Oxalic acid, also known as oxyhydroquinic acid, oxalic acid, or oxalic acid, abbreviated as OA, is the first generation product of quinolones. It is a white, yellowish white columnar crystal or crystalline powder with no odor or taste. Melting point of 320 ºC, almost insoluble in water and ethanol, soluble in formic acid and sodium hydroxide solutions, non hygroscopic, and relatively stable to heat, moisture, and light.

It has strong broad-spectrum properties, strong antibacterial efficacy against Gram negative bacteria and some positive bacteria, and has no cross resistance with antibiotics. However, it has no antibacterial effect on fungi and tuberculosis bacteria, and has the advantages of low dosage and good antibacterial effect. Foreign aquacult
