IR lens is an infrared lens. It uses special optical glass materials, and uses the latest optical design methods to eliminate the focal plane offset of visible and infrared light. Therefore, light from visible light to infrared light can be imaged in the same focal plane, making images clear.

CCTV was originally used as a lens for video surveillance cameras. It is cheap and has a large aperture. It is generally a C bayonet, which can be easily transferred to the Sony NEX body for use. However, due to the problem of the coverage of the mirror head image field, most CCTV lenses cannot completely cover the APS-C large size photosensitive devices of NEX. Forcible use will result in hole shaped imaging, and the black edge of the screen is very wide. Therefore, players usually choose 35mm or 50mm fixed focus CCTV lenses, which can be perfectly transferred to NEX for use.
