Small Organic Impurities from Polar Macromolecular Organic Solutions
PRODUCT DATA SHEET:
SDN-18 is a styrene-based macroporous adsorption resin polymerized with aromatic ring. Not containing ion-exchange functional groups, this nonpolar adsorbent is synthesized by polymerizing monomers with very small dipole moment, and thus surface of the pores is highly hydrophobic. Therefore, it can selectively adsorb the organic micromolecules impurities through interaction with the hydrophobic parts in these small molecules.
In general, it has been widely applied in removing nonpolar organic micromolecules from polar solution that contains polar macromolecules. Well known as 'aromatic adsorbent', SDN-18 adsorbent is most suitable for decolorization and deodorization in sugar liquid and fermentation broth, as well as for pigment and organics removal in wastewater treatment.
