Automotive urea is an important raw material for diesel vehicle exhaust purification additives. It refers to a urea aqueous solution with a concentration between 31.8% and 33.2% and a solvent of ultrapure water. It can convert nitrogen oxides in diesel vehicle exhaust into harmless nitrogen and water, improve engine operation and fuel consumption, and meet the prescribed emission standards for exhaust.
The difference between automotive urea and urea fertilizer
Automotive urea solution is a colorless, transparent, and clear liquid with a concentration of 31.8% to 33.2%, used for reducing NOx. The currently used automotive urea solution generally consists of 32.5% high-purity urea and 67.5% deionized water.
Ordinary agricultural fertilizers such as urea contain urea, mechanical impurities, formaldehyde, and metal ions, which can cause catalyst poisoning and component damage in the SCR exhaust aftertreatment system. In addition, fertilizer urea is prone to crystallization at low temperatures and cannot guarantee the concentration of urea solution, which can result in low NOx conversion rate.
