The NIJ Level III helmet is a ballistic helmet that is designed to protect the wearer from bullets and shrapnel. It is made of a high-density polymer material and is designed to stop rounds from common firearms such as pistols and AK rounds. It is a level III protection helmet. Full cut helmets are generally considered to be more protective than high cut helmets because they offer more coverage to the head and face. They typically extend further down the back of the head and along the sides, providing additional protection to areas that are not covered by high cut helmets.
