PSC pump is a horizontal, single-stage, double-volute, axially split case centrifugal pump that is designed specifically for reliable and efficient operation at high capacities. Its symmetrical design ensures minimal shaft deviation, which provides excellent stability when subjected to high torques and speeds. This pump is typically used in industrial water supply and firefighting applications, and can be coupled with both electric motors and diesel engines. Moreover, the pump can be easily inspected and maintained due to its two shell casing, which eliminates the need to disassemble the motor and coupling.
PSC pumps are ideal for high-flow rate applications that are not suitable for end suction pumps, such as potable water distribution, fire pumps, cooling water, pipelines, and other industrial process flows with relatively thin fluids. Depending on the fluid content and chemical analysis, the flow part can be cast in cast iron, nodular cast iron, bronze, or stainless steel. Customers can choose between mechanical seal or gland packing based on their needs.
The bearings and mechanical seals of this pump can be serviced without disrupting either piping connections or electrical motor connections. The pump's baseplates are fabricated from steel with a drip pan. It comes with the option to split the casing vertically or horizontally in relation to the impeller, providing a vertical or horizontal split case pump respectively.
