Initial Biodegradation Time and Accomplishing Time
For the dry farmland, such as tomato and spinach fields, the time span between the filming finished and the initial sign of degradation emerging is around 70~90 days. The film needs to be covered by soil after use to ensure the degradation is ongoing.
For the paddy field, the time span would be about 30~60 days for most of the cases.
The biodegradation time of the mulching film depends on the soil humidity, environment temperature, sunlight intensity, soil microorganism distribution, and the thickness of the film. For instance, the relatively high temperature and humid soil conditions are favorable for the film degradation. Under some extreme climate conditions, such as the severe cold weather, the initial degradation of the film would be later than it in normal climate conditions.
Based on the long-term experiment and observation, our biodegradable film would degrade fully into the soil in 1-1.5 year.
Note: the above experimental figures for Initial Biodegradation Time and Accomplishing Time are based on our 0.01mm film product. Thicker films would lead to relatively longer degradable period.

Effective use period
The effective period of the covered mulch depends on the climate and soil conditions, the initial degradation time is within 1 month, 2-3 months, 3-4 months, and more than 4 months. It usually takes 2-3 months, after that it will begin to degrade gradually.

Mainly used for ground coverage of various crops, cash crops, vegetables and rice. In addition to ordinary mulching film to increase ground temperature, water retention, fertilizer retention, early maturity, high yield, and quality improvement of crops, it also has the characteristics of high strength, good toughness, and complete degradation in the soil microbial environment. It is environmentally friendly and does not need to be recycled after use, which greatly reduces agricultural costs, increases economic income, and is deeply loved by farmers.
