Product Overview and Applications:
The fully biodegradable PE shrink film ultimately degrades into water, carbon dioxide and biomass without leaving any microplastics in the natural environment.
It has excellent contractility and durability, and high contractility longitudinally when heated, allowing it to fit tightly into the shape of the product. It is particularly suitable for the food and beverage industry.
Available thicknesses of 40, 60, 80 and 90 microns provide excellent strength and protection.
What is SUNWARD'S biodegradation technology?
There are three phases:
Phase 1:
Storage and usage. In this period, the technology is not activated. The way of its packaging is the same as how other non-biodegradable material pack. The typical period is 6-36 months.
Phase 2:
Convert to wax. After life cycle, in the environment where heat, air, moisture and sunlight are present, the material is convert to wax chemically at fast speed. The typical period is 3-7 months.
Phase 3:
Bio conversion in open-air environment. Bio-available wax will bio-convert via bacteria, fungi, etc. which exist in the soil in open-air environment. The typical period is 12-24 months.
