2. Principle
The steam muffler is mainly based on the principle of "small hole injection" combined with "impedance expansion and sound absorption". Steam discharge generally has a fast flow rate and high flow noise. It is necessary to expand the flow with through holes first. The steam after multiple through holes will get a pressure drop in the resistant expansion chamber, and the airflow will be ejected through the small holes. The sound power of the octave band has been reduced, and the frequency of the sound pressure level has been pushed up to the range above 20000 Hz, and the noise is greatly weakened, but the secondary noise of some frequencies needs to be further muffled.
