We are happy to popularize our Kingwell unique composite Refractory textile to re-define the market of various fire hoods and acoustic fire hoods.
Downlights, if not safely protected, can become a fire hazard as the whole cut in the ceiling to accomodate them compromises its fire resistance.
Fire hood is made from flexible, intumescent-coated Refractory textile, which has a variant that can house a transformer for low-voltage fittings.
UK current building and wiring regulations have meant firehoods have become a necessity. Not only does a Firehood seal to stop fire penetration into the ceiling void left by fittings for up to one hour, but in normal use also offers ventilation to prevent the light fitting from overheating.
