Description
Polycarbonate (PC for short) is a polymer containing carbonate ester group in the molecular chain. According to the structure of the ester group, it can be divided into aliphatic, aromatic, aliphatic - aromatic and other types. Due to the low mechanical properties of aliphatic and aliphatic aromatic polycarbonates, their application in engineering plastics is limited.
Only aromatic polycarbonate has been industrially produced. Due to the structural particularity of polycarbonate, it has become the fastest growing general engineering plastic among the five engineering plastics.
