Sodium Formate 95% is a white crystalline powder with a capacity to absorb water and a faint odor of formic acid. Sodium Formate 95% is soluble in water and glycerol, slightly soluble in ethanol, but insoluble in ether. Its melting point is 253ºC. It is primarily used in the production of formic acid and oxalic acid, as well as in the manufacturing of dimethyl formamide.
