At the same time, IPBC also can be blended with any other germicides for the effect of expanding fungus proof and sterilizing spectrums, extending expiry date and improving stability, etc. It is mainly applied into the field of medicine, cosmetics, painting, coating. resin, fibre, grease leather, paper and wood treatment etc. IPBC also can be used with some kinds of additives together, such as dispersant, tackifier, antifoaming and stabilizer, which is well-known as the most effective antibacterial agents and fungicide.

4. Toxicity:Acute oral toxicity test(laboratory mice), male, female, acute oral toxicity test, LD50>5000mg/kg, slight toxicity. Acute oral toxicity test(laboratory rats), male, all LD50>5000mg/kg, slight toxicity.
Rabbit skin irritation test: average value=0, no irritation. Rabbit eyes irritation test; after dripping, left the material in the eves for 24 hours without rinsing it, integral index=3.0, average value=0 in 48 hours, no irritation; skin allergy test: no allergy weak sensitizer. Micronucleus test: Negative.
5. Good stability of formula:
(1)Property is stable when PH is between 4 and 10.
(2) Property is stable when it is continuously heated for 30 minutes at 70-80°ºC.

Dissolving the IPBC at the first place is the most important step. With low solubility of IPBC in water, we commonly use propylene glycol or 1, 3-butanediol instead of water as the solvent in the product. We recommend using 1, 3-butanediol in cosmetics on account of security and moist maintenance performance.
For methanol based products, IPBC can directly dissolve in advance with the calculated percentage. Operation method is as follows:

Attention:
(1) Temperature usually should be maintained under 45ºC in the entire operational process.
(2) It's essential to keep the IPBC under sealed condition, for the prevention of direct sun exposure that may cause the color to turn to yellow and pay attention to moisture.
