Calcium hypochlorite, an inorganic compound with the chemical formula Ca(ClO)2, is often used in the bleaching process of chemical production, and plays an important role in industrial production with its rapid onset and prominent bleaching effect.

It is mainly used for bleaching of pulp in paper industry and bleaching of cotton, linen and silk fiber fabrics in textile industry. Also used for urban and rural drinking water, swimming pool water disinfection. The chemical industry is used for the purification of acetylene, the manufacture of chloroform- and other organic chemical raw materials. Can be used as wool shrinkage agent, deodorant and so on.
