Urine drainage bags are mainly used to collect urine. The urine bag will be connected to a catheter (tube) in the bladder. Catheters are usually used in conjunction with a urine drainage bag, mainly because the patient has incontinence (leakage), urinary retention (inability to urinate), surgery requiring a catheter, or other health problems.
