Cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) is used as a bactericidal disinfectant and exhibits effective antibacterial properties against a wide range of microorganisms. Under the same conditions of use, the killing rate of Cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) on heterotrophic bacteria, iron bacteria and sulfate-reducing bacteria is better than that of dialkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride and dialkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium bromide and other commonly used quaternary ammonium salt fungicides.
Cetylpyridinium Chloride (CPC) is highly recommended for application in mouthwash and antiseptic creams and lotions. And due to cationic nature it is further applicable in hair conditioners, shampoos, anti-static formulations.
