CFRP Structural Reinforcement Unidirectional Carbon Fiber Fabric
Carbon Fiber Unidirectional Fabric is a type of composite material where carbon fibers are aligned in a single direction within a non-woven fabric. Unlike unidirectional (UD) prepreg, which is pre-impregnated with a resin system, unidirectional fabric is typically just the reinforcement fibers without resin. The fabric relies on the carbon fibers' high strength and stiffness properties, which are most effective when aligned in the direction of the applied load.
Directional Strength and Stiffness:
The strength and stiffness of the fabric are maximized in the direction of the fiber alignment. This makes it ideal for applications where the load direction is known and can be aligned with the fibers to take full advantage of their mechanical properties.
