Sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) is an anionic surfactant with excellent performance, which can be obtained from coconut. It is a light yellow viscous liquid, easily soluble in water, and has excellent decontamination, emulsification and foaming properties. . It has good thickening properties and foaming ability. For example, adding 2% to 5% sodium chloride can easily increase the viscosity of the SLES system. It is often used in daily chemical industries such as liquid washing, table washing, shampoo, bath washing, etc. It is also used in textile, papermaking, leather, machinery, oil mining and other industries. In cosmetics, SLES is mild washing properties will not damage the skin, have low irritation to the skin and eyes, and have good biodegradability (degradation degree is 99%).
