Single girder overhead cranes are the most cost effective purchase for capacity 20 tons and 18m span. The single girder overhead crane is usually classed as 3 types, LD type , low headroom type, LDP type. It is widely and popular used for generic workshop, warehouse, material yard, etc. Which lifting mechanism is matched with CD (single lifting speed)/MD (double lifting speed) electric hoist. It is consist of the following parts:
End trucks--Located on either side of the span, the end trucks house the wheels on which the entire crane travels. These wheels travel on the runway beam allowing access to the entire length of the bay.
Bridge girders--The principal horizontal beam of the crane bridge which supports the trolley and is supported by the end trucks.
Hoist--The hoist is mounted on the main girder, there are two basic types of hoist. The wire rope hoist which is very durable and will provide long term, reliable usage. The other type is Chain hoist, which used for lower capacity, lighter duty accplications and for projects in which cost is a primary deciding factor.
