Description
This product is a white freeze-dried block or powder.
Pharmacological action
This product has follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH)-like effects. It can promote the production of luteinizing hormone from the corpus luteum to female animals and promote ovulation. No effect on immature follicles. For male animals, it can promote the differentiation of testicular stromal cells and androgen secretion, and promote the development and maturity of sexual organs and side characteristics. For animals with no abnormal anatomy, chorionic gonadotropin can also make the testes of cryptorchidism-affected animals drop.
Indications
It is used to induce female animals to ovulate, estrus at the same time, and to treat ovarian cysts in cattle, and cryptorchidism in horses and dogs.
Usage and dosage
Intramuscular injection: one dose, 1000~5000 units for horses and cattle; 100~500 units for sheep; 500~1000 units for pigs
Unit: 25~300 units for dogs. 2 to 3 times a week.
Adverse reactions
According to the prescribed dosage, no adverse reactions have been seen.
Precautions
(1) Repeated use of the hormone will produce antibodies and weaken the efficacy.
(2) The solution of this product is extremely unstable and not heat resistant, so it should be used up in a short time.
