There are two kind of processing technology for curly yarn on the artificial grass market, one is ATY(air textured yearn), the other is KDK(knit de knit ).
In the KDK process, yarn is first knitted into a fabric form using specialized knitting machines. This initial knitting step allows for precise control over the yarn's structure and density, ensuring consistent quality throughout the production process. Once the yarn is knitted, it then undergoes a heat treatment process to fixate the loops. Afterwards, it will be get de-knitted, which involves carefully undoing the fabric to release the curled yarn.The result is a curly yarn that exhibits exceptional softness, resilience, and durability. The KDK process creates a unique texture and appearance that closely mimics the natural look and feel of real grass.
