Coal tar pitch is a by product of coking, that is, tar after distillation remains in the distillation kettle black matter.
High Softening Point Coal Tar Pitch: High Softening Point Coal Tar Pitch is the residue after distillation of coal tar to extract light oil, phenol oil, naphthalene oil, washing oil and anthracene oil. It is a black solid without fixed melting point at room temperature. After being heated, it is softened and melted. The density is 1.25 ~ 1.35g/cm3.
The graphitization level of carbon in coal tar pitch is high, so it can be used as #adhesive in production of #graphite #electrode and pre-baked #anode. In this respect, there are many types and a wide range of areas involved.
Coal tar pitch is mainly used as waterproof anticorrosive material, mixing fire oil, producing rubber asphalt and firebrick, also mainly used in the production of pre-baked anode, graphite electrode, carbon black oil.
