What is Saw Palmetto Berry extract?
Saw palmetto extract is a plant medicine extracted from the mature dry fruit of saw palmetto, and its main effective component is fatty acid. At present, studies have shown that it has anti-tumor effect and is often used to treat male prostatic hypertrophy.
Function:
(1) Effectively inhibit the activity of 5a- reductase, antagonize the combination of androgen and androgen receptor in prostate tissue.
(2) It has adrenergic antagonism and calcium blocking effects, thus improving bladder function and relieving spasm.
(3) Inhibit the activities of cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase, and reduce the production of inflammatory mediators such as leukotrienes and prostaglandins, thus playing an anti-inflammatory and anti-edema role.
(4) It contains a special natural bactericidal factor-phytin, which directly destroys pathogen DNA polymerase, destroys drug-resistant strains and kills pathogen plasmid.
