In controlled release fertilizer, NPK and other elements are coated by resin membrane. Soil water can slowly infiltrate through micropores of coated membrane.
Owing to gradient differences of nutrient densities inside and outside, nutrient is transferred into soil and absorbed by plants. Controlled release fertilizer can reach plants requirements during whole growth period by one step fertilization.
