Corona ring is classified into closed corona ring of ordinary type, bird-preventing helmet closed ring, semi-ring by structure; die-cast aluminum, aluminum tube and stainless steel tube by material. The abovementioned rings are all of current-leading structure, that is, in the case of pollution flashover or lightening flashover when the composite insulator is operating, the current will be directly led to the terminal of end fittings instead of flowing through the terminal sheath and crimping part, so as to protect the seal part from damage and the crimping part from the impact of thermal expansion thereby resulting in the grip strength reduction of the metal fittings.
