Cordierite Diesel particulate filter substrate
Diesel Particulate Filter (hereinafter called DPF) is designed to remove black smoke (soot, hereinafter called PM) form diesel engine exhaust, making great contribution to clean the exhaust gas from diesel cars while attracting much attention from worldwide car manufacturers.The most effective type is the so called wall-flow filter. Particulate matter is removed from the exhaust by physical filtration using a honeycomb structure similar to an emissions catalyst substrate but with the channels blocked at alternate ends. Our cordierite Diesel particulate filter substrate is made from modified cordierite ( 2MgO-Al2O3-5SiO2 )material. Current our full series has both 100 and 200 CPSI option and size is from 1.0 liters to 44 liters.

A DPF is installed between an engine and a muffler to remove suspended particulate matter (SPM) from diesel engine exhaust gas.
The working principle of the particulate trap: By alternately blocking both ends of the pores of the honeycomb porous ceramic, the ceramic wall is used to filter and remove PM.
