The polyethylene water supply pipe is a new product formed from extruding, taking the high quality polyethylene resin as main material, adding necessary assistant such as anti-oxidant ultraviolet absorber and so on. It can be widely used in many kinds of pipeline projects with the working pressure of 0.32MPa~1.6MPa and the working temperature of -20ºC~40ºC, such as municipal water supply, drainage, petrochemical industry, mine, irrigation of agricultural land, contamination drainage, mortar transportation, landfill of refuse and so on.

Advantages of HDPE accessories and connections
One of the biggest problems with mechanically connecting traditional pipelines is the high incidence of background leakage. Background water leaks from the pipeline through pipe joints. It is estimated that in the United States, due to background leakage, approximately 14% of drinking water is lost every day. In a city with a population of 100,000, this means more than 12 million gallons of water per year (3). HDPE pipes and their associated fittings and connectors have obvious advantages because they can be used to create leak-free joints to prevent background leakage.
For example, transition fittings are permanent factory-made joints that connect HDPE pipe to any other pipe material. The joint is sealed by an O-ring seal, and the HDPE pipe is compressed and fitted around another pipe material or in another pipe material along the circumferential direction. Transition fittings allow HDPE pipes to be connected to steel pipes, ductile iron pipes, PVC pipes, etc. There are also modern options for using fusion welding.
Traditional methods require butt fusion welding, which results in a fusion joint that is leak-free and has the same strength as the pipeline. During repairs or special services that require modifications to inaccessible pipes, installers can use electrofusion joints to connect new pipes and fittings. Electric fusion is a computerized fusion process that eliminates the possibility of most human errors and requires smaller access points for assembly. Fusion provides a way to connect HDPE piping components and create a uniform leak-free system.
