There are mainly two types of body armor : non-plate soft armors and plate-reinforced hard armors.As to the design ,there are also usually two types:short pattern for protection of the torso and full-protection pattern for all-around coverage.
WHAT IS BALLISTIC PLATE?
They are mainly artificial ceramics sold separately as accessories.This disposable ballistic plates serves as an additional safeguard for your security but not included in body armor or ballistic vest by default.
HOW TO CHOOSE A BODY ARMOR?
Every nation has its own standard to quantify the performance of body armors.The most recognized standard is NIJ level . The higher a body armor ranks,the better it protects the user. Note that a A-modified rank doesn't mean better,on the contrary, it means slightly weaker.
