Diisobutyl ketone is a colorless, stable liquid with a mild sweet odor.
DIBK is a high boiling, slow evaporating solvent that has limited water solubility, but is miscible with alcohols and ketones.
DIBK has excellent viscosity reduction for and reduces surface tension in high solid's coatings.
DIBK has good volume-to-weight advantage over other classes of solvents used in coatings.
DIBK is a non-HAP (Hazardous Air Pollutant) solvent.
