Applications
1. DETA is mainly used as a solvent and organic synthesis intermediate
2. for the preparation of gas purifiers (for CO2 removal),
3. lubricant additives, emulsifiers,
4. surfactants,
5. fabric finishing agents,
6. paper reinforcing agents,
7. polyamide resins, etc.
Similar color fixatives can be obtained by reacting ethylenediamine, triethylenetetramine, tetraethylenepentamine with dicyandiamide, or by reacting diethylenetriamine with guanidine carbonate. This type of color fixative is used for post-treatment of direct dyeing.
Diethylenetriamine is a highly active epoxy resin curing agent, mainly used for laminated products, cast products, adhesives and coatings, etc.
