Diving Decompression Chambers
A decompression chamber,also known as a hyperbaric chamber, is a room where different ambient
pressures can be simulated. Thereby, the room is connected to a ventilation system for sufficient oxygen.
In addition, the ambient pressure can be monitored via compressors or pumps. By doing so, different
pressure environments can be simulated.
The purpose a decompression hyperbaric chamber is to allow divers to complete their decompression stops
in a chamber rather than underwater. The diver surfaces and immediately enters the decompression chamber
to complete the time they would have normally spent underwater decompressing.
In addition,a decompression chamber is used to help divers to finish their decompression stops on the
surface,rather than underwater, Which is ideal during work in dangerous,cold environments.
