1. Definition and structure
The welding wire (YH cable) is a special cable for electric welding machines. It is a kind of high-strength rubber-sheathed cable. It is mainly used to connect the secondary output end of the welding machine with the welding clamp or workpiece to transmit high current (low voltage). Its structural features include:
Conductor: Made of hundreds of oxygen-free copper wires twisted together, it has high conductivity (resistivity as low as 0.015-0.193 Ω/km), ensuring stable current transmission
Insulation layer: Wrapped with heat-resistant polyester film or pure natural rubber, some models are covered with chloroprene rubber sheath, which is both high temperature resistant (long-term working temperature ≤65ºC) and wear resistant
Outer diameter and weight: compact design, small outer diameter, light weight, easy to move and bend frequently
2. Core characteristics
Electrical performance: The working voltage is 450-750V, the no-load voltage is about 70-80V, and the voltage drops to about 40V during welding, which is suitable for low voltage and high current scenarios
Physical properties:
Flexibility: The multi-strand copper wire structure makes it have excellent bending performance and adapts to twisting and movement during welding
Wear and heat resistance: The insulation layer is tear-resistant and can withstand sharp metal scratches and short-term contact with high-temperature weldments (heat-resistant deformation temperature can reach 180ºC)
Environmental adaptability: oil-resistant, acid-resistant, alkali-resistant, moisture-proof, suitable for outdoor, industrial and other complex environments
