working principle

The main working part is the impeller, which is driven by the high-speed rotating dispersing shaft. The high-speed rotation of the impeller makes the slurry in the stirring tank present a rolling circulation and generates a large vortex.

Pigment particles on the top surface of the paint quickly spiral down to the bottom of the vortex. A turbulent zone is formed 2.5 to 5 cm from the edge of the impeller. In this area, the pigment particles are subjected to strong shear and impact, which make them disperse into the paint quickly. Outside this area, the upper and lower streams are formed, so that the paint slurry can be fully circulated and turned.

If there is a laminar flow under the impeller, the interaction between the liquid layers at different speeds is called the action of viscosity shear force, which can play a good dispersion effect.
