Description of Biaxial Plastic Geogrid
Geogrids are geosynthetics with large openings or apertures. Geogrids are used as soil reinforcement under roads, under structures, and behind retaining walls. HG Fencing provides Uniaxial Geogrid, biaxial geogrid, steel-plastic geogrid and fiberglass geogrid to meet different production scenarios.
Biaxial plastic geogrids are made of polymeric polypropylene that is extruded into sheets, then beaten into a regular mesh pattern, and finally stretched in both the longitudinal and transverse directions. The material has a high tensile strength in both the longitudinal and transverse directions, and this bi-directional structure provides an ideal interlocking system for more effective load-bearing in the soil.
