RVV full name
PVC insulated PVC sheathed flexible cable.
The meaning represented by letters
The letter R represents a flexible cord
The letter V represents insulation polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
RVV wires are the most commonly used cables in weak current systems, with an indefinite number of core wires, two or more, and PVC sheaths on the outside. There are no special requirements for the arrangement of core wires.
The function of the protective sheath
For example, rvv2 * 0.5 refers to two wires with an area of 0.5 square millimeters and an outer sheath. The purpose of the sheath is to
1. Protect the inner protective layer of the cable from mechanical damage and chemical corrosion;
2. Enhance the mechanical strength of the cable.
