Eaton Vickers VLC, VLE and VLH valves are load sensing priority valves. They provide reliable flow based on the need for
steering, braking, or other priority functions, while allowing excess flow to be used for auxiliary functions.
Eaton priority valves can be used with open-heart, closed-center, or load-sensing systems. They can be used with fixed
displacement pumps in open-center systems or with pressure-compensated pumps in closed-center systems.
There are two types of load sensing signal systems: static and dynamic. In a static signaling system, the pump and priority valve
sense the static pressure in the sensing line. Static signal systems are used in traditional applications where response or
circuit stability is not an issue. In a dynamic signaling system, pumps and priority valves sense the pressurization in the load
sensing line caused by the spring and the small amount of flow from the control flow line through the dynamic signal orifice. Used
with fixed or variable displacement pumps, the dynamic signaling system offers a variety of benefits, including faster steering
response, improved cold-weather start-up performance, and enhanced flexibility to optimize system performance and stability.

The Eaton Vickers VLC is rated at 276 bar (4,000 psi) and has a flow rate of 60 l/min;
VLE rated at 310 bar (4,500 psi) for EF ports and 276 bar (4,000 psi) for CF ports with 150 l/min flow;
EF port rated for 297 bar (4,300 psi)VLH and the CF port is rated for 276 bar (4,000 psi) with a flow rate of 240 l/min.
