What is the main advantage of DC link capacitor?

The sole role of the DC-Link capacitor is to balance the fluctuating instantaneous power on the DC-bus created by switching activity within the battery controller (stage 1) and especially reflected ripple and noise from the high-frequency power switching devices within the three-phase drive

The capacitor has the advantages of low self-inductance, low impedance, long life, low capacity loss, good self-healing, high-current impact resistance, and fast charging and discharging speed. It is suitable for photovoltaic inverters, wind power converters, frequency converters, etc., and helps DC circuit filtering.
