Product Introduction of Metal Pall Ring
1. The metal pall ring random packing was developed by company in 1940s on the basis of raschig ring.
2. It is made of sheet metal by punching and rolling. Two rows of window holes with tongue leaves extending inside are opened on the ring wall. Each row of window has five tongue leaves bending into the ring, pointing to the ring center, almost connecting at the center, and the upper and lower layers of window holes are staggered with each other.
3. Generally, the total area of the opening is about 35% of the whole ring area. As a result of opening windows on the ring wall, the distribution of gas and liquid in the packing bed and the mass transfer performance are greatly improved compared with that in the raschig ring. People have made plenty of study of its performance, so pall ring is still one of the main random packing used at present.
