Model YQ127B-8Y(58-93R) hydraulic power tongs are closed faced with variable torque, hydraulic lift, Pressure oil bath lubrication, hardened internal gears, roller chain final drive and two-speed operation. Because they are closed-faced, Model YQ127B-8Y (58-93R) hydraulic power tongs stay on the pipe all the way up. You save time because you don't have to remove and replace the tongs on the pipe after each joint is pulled. Every joint is gripped with a uniform, predetermined torque between 300 and 6000 ft. lbs (0.41~8.13kN.m), which is controlled by setting the pressure relief valve.
Double multiple hardened disc friction clutches drive the two speed models and can be shifted from high to low gear without stopping or meshing teeth. Model YQ127B-8Y(58-93R) hydraulic power tongs are available from stock to handle 15/16″ through 61/16″O.D. tubing. The standard is making up and discharging 2 3/8″-3 1/2″tubing,drill pipe or casing.
