Accordina to NFPA20, centrifugal pump shall be ofthe overhung impeller design with close or separate coupled end suction type.
Pump capacities are based on the calculated system demand.
Fire pump shut off head should not exceed 140% of the nominal value.
Recommended the maximum system demand flow correlate to a point on pump curve between 90% to 140% of the pump capacity.
