According to the muffler principle and structure, automobile mufflers can be divided into resistance mufflers, resistance mufflers and impedance compound mufflers
1. Resistant muffler Resistant muffler is in the interior through pipes, partitions and other components to form an expansion chamber, resonance chamber and other muffler units, sound waves in the propagation of reflection and interference, reduce sound energy to achieve the purpose of noise reduction. Resistant muffler noise attenuation frequency band is limited, usually, low and middle-frequency band noise suppression effect is good, high-frequency noise suppression effect is poor, truck use resistant muffler.
2. Resistive muffler E is a muffler filled with sound-absorbing material around the pipe through which the internal exhaust gas passes to absorb sound energy to achieve the purpose of noise reduction. The noise reduction effect is good for medium and high frequency, and it is used as an automobile exhaust muffler, which is usually combined with a resistant muffler. -
3. Impedance compound muffler is a muffler composed of a resistant muffler unit and a sound-absorbing material, which has the common characteristics of a resistant and resistant muffler. It has a good noise reduction effect on low, medium and high-frequency noise.

The exhaust noise of the engine is reduced, and the high-temperature exhaust gas can be discharged safely and effectively. As a part of the exhaust pipe, the muffler should ensure that the exhaust is smooth, the resistance is small and the strength is sufficient. The muffler should be subjected to 500ºC~700ºC high temperature exhaust to ensure that it is not damaged and does not lose the noise reduction effect within the specified driving mileage of the car.
